Dashrath Manjhi: The Man Who Moved a Mountain
After his wife died because they couldn’t get her to the hospital through the rocky terrain of their village in Bihar, India, Dashrath Manjhi took it upon himself to carve a path. With just a hammer and chisel, he spent 22 years chiseling away at a mountain to create a road, shortening the distance between his village and the nearest town from 55km to 15km. His dedication serves as a testament to the power of human will and the lengths to which love can drive a person.
